The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) is located in Houston Texas. Other Texas chapters are located in Dallas (Southwest Chapter) and Austin (Austin Chapter). The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter is a resurrection of the former HATS (Houston Area Technical Support group). Our chapter was chartered in September 2001. It is designed to promote the discussion and exchange of ideas relating to investigations and security in advanced technologies. We strive to increase our personal knowledge in the area of computer crime and computer security.
