The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), located in Houston, Texas,
is designed to promote the discussion and exchange of
ideas relating to investigations and security in advanced technologies. We
strive to increase our personal knowledge in the area of computer crime
and computer security. Our Chapter is also dedicated to sharing knowledge through outreach
at events such as SecureWorld.
In recognition of our efforts, we are pleased to have been named 2008 Chapter of the Year by HTCIA International. The Chapter was recognized for this achievement at the 2008 International Training Conference & Exposition
October 20-22, 2008, in Atlantic City.
Chartered in 2001, the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter is a resurrection of the former HATS
(Houston Area Technical Support group). Other Texas chapters are
located in Dallas (Southwest Chapter) and Austin (Austin Chapter).
